The LivingIn Association was created with the aim of promoting the successful integration of internationally-minded residents into Swiss life by providing support, a local community, and other important resources in order to help them connect, grow and thrive. The organisation focuses on different projects in order to achieve its goals.
Our website www.livingin.swiss provides continuously updated information about life here, focusing on, not only, the administrative side of life, but also giving ideas for leisure activities and insight into Swiss culture. Our Znüni News shares daily local headlines and we explain political news helping people understand the issues being debated.
We opened our first community centre in Lucerne in 2016, where we run our own programmes as well as those of our partner organisations. It is a home from home, a place of learning but also connecting. Most importantly it provides people with a safe space where they can become a part of a village in order to find support, understanding and compassion.
We will soon be opening our second community centre in Zurich and we envision developing similar centres throughout the country.
After 6 years of publishing magazines with both timely and timeless articles, we decided to publish an essential guide to living in Lucerne with articles focusing on moving, living and working here. After the success of that book, we decided to write a similar book about Zurich and, as a consequence, we created our own publishing house: The Livingin Publishing House.
